Intex ultraframe 22' x 52" sides of liner bowing out at bottom

My 3 year old 22' does ( did) the exact same thing. My previous Intex 18'X 52 did not and the 18 footer also had the rope around the base to keep the legs tucked in. My 22 footer was so bad that many of the legs were pushed off the outside of the pavers. Between the first and second season I...

Above ground pool installation over electrical service?

No the wires of concern are the buried wires that go from the transformer in my alley to the meter on my house. I am in the process of placing wires in conduit buried 18 inches down that go from my breaker panel in my home out to the pool pad.

Above ground pool installation over electrical service?

Thanks CJadamec. I installed the pool 3 summers ago. I read on this forum about bonding loops wired to all the metal parts, water pumps etc, the water, the pool legs etc. , so I buried the bare 8 ga. copper wire loop after I leveled the site. I have not as yet connected all the metal pool...

Above ground pool installation over electrical service?

Ok thank you for the explanation, that makes more sense.:thumleft: With all that having been said, would I be better off bonding my pool in the usual fashion, or would I be providing a pathway for current from the buried electrical line, to get into my pool? I did bury the copper wire in the...

So as long as the water depth is less than 42 inches, the electricity can't find its way into the pool?

Above ground pool installation over electrical service?

That is what I am thinking, or hoping. In the event the service needs to be maintained, I don't mind moving the pool, or paying to have the service re-routed.

    Extruded polyethylene foam board

I used the 11/2 inch thick white foam boards and 3 layers of gorilla tape, and it worked out well. My wife loves how it feels under her feet.

Above ground pool installation over electrical service?

As I am researching electrical installation to my pool, I saw in the NEC that an above ground pool should not be installed over buried electrical wires. The inference is that this applies to permanently installed pools and not temporary pools. Is there a safety reason for not installing a pool...

Intex support slipped off footing - Need advice

My 22X 52 intex pool also had the legs slipping off the pavers as the filling pool pushed the legs outward. I lived with it last year, but it was unsightly. I had worked very hard to get all the pavers level, only to have some slip off, making the top rail "undulate" all the way around. So after...
