    Leaks and test lines.

    That's exactly what I am suggesting. I didn't mention this, but I normally run off the (1) skimmer so running this temporary line should definitely isolate the issue. I didn't know if anyone had tried this before or if this was a common practice.

    Main Drain Line Leak

    I am interested to hear what people say about this, I have been running off the skimmer alone for years. The old owners actually relined the pool and covered the main drain. Sorry i can't be more helpful, but good luck! J

    Hello everyone, I fear tree roots have cracked my water lines. Besides a pressure test, has anyone experimented with running a line/pipe above ground from the pool to the pump? In my eyes, this would be a clear indicator if there is a leak or am i thinking about this all wrong? Any advice...

    New pool owner with air in the pump!

    Thank you for he welcome, Pat. I did indeed lube the O-rings, but still nothing. The drain plugs didn't have O-rings, but I applied teflon tape to ensure a clean seal.... still nothing. womp womp. Any other ideas? I read somewhere that if pipe diameters from the pool and to the pool differ...
