Dolphin Diagnostics (2008) wiring repair help.

Thanks. Mine doesn't have a remote, just the Power pack that has an On/Off switch. Not sure why there's a red wire from the circuit board connected on the underside, maybe there was an upgraded model that had a remote. In that case, maybe the red wire doesn't do anything? Anyway, I'll do my best...

Dolphin Diagnostics (2008) wiring repair help.

My Maytronics Dolphin Diagnostics robot has ran great until now. I know it's on the OLD side, but thought it was worth a little time to try and repair. As I suspected water has gotten into the housing. It was not full, just a little water. After disassembly I've checked both motors to be working...

    Should I replaster?

How did this end up? Did you Replaster? My Pool was built in 1993, we bought the house 10 years ago. Original Plaster surprisingly not too bad for 30 years old now. Looks very similar to your pics, and I am debating a replaster.

    High chlorine consumption (3 - 3.5 ppm a day)

Fellow Tulsan. Is the Atwoods bleach 10%? I bought mine from Lowes this year for opening, their 10% LQ is $3.86/gallon.

    Hayward C3000 stripped bolt/nut solution

I just threw out a 26 year old C3000 that had it's lid split in half overnight. Didn't think to keep the clamp ring with extra hardware in case someone here needed it. I replaced the filter with a new C3030. Congrats on the fix.

    What's your current pool temp?

57 degrees in Tulsa. Opened and Slammed early due to not putting my winter safety cover on. Water looks great, but nights are still in the mid 40's through mid April, so running my heat pump wouldn't really be practical at this point. I'll just have to look at it every day and wait.

Skimmer Diverter Plate/Float almost emptied my Pool.

I recently read a post where someone made a DIY double elbow pipe with a few holes to use in place of a skimmer diverter plate due to cost. Someone else mentioned the plate/float also served to prevent the pump from losing suction if level were to fall below the skimmer. This is also mentioned...

Came home to half-empty pool today

WoW, The same thing happened to me last month, except I Woke Up to a 4 ft. low pool with water still spraying out. It was a 26 year old Hayward cartridge filter that split its lid in half. Replaced it with a new Hayward Swimclear from Inyopools as well as a new pump housing while I was at it...

Liquid Chlorine in a Hot tub or Swim Spa

I've used liquid chlorine/bleach only in our hot tub for 6 years. I add a few ounces(just pour a little don't measure) every other time we get out. Never had a problem with the water or equipment.
