Here is a pic of some polyester filler I put in one of the skimmers after just an hour or so. Test Results pH = 7.0 (up a bit) Need more Borax Ch 5 CDL FC = 3.5 CC = 0 TC = 3.5 Calcium Hardness 100ppm TA = 60 CYA = 20 TC dropped from 5 to 3.5. Still no CC Ph went up a bit CYA...

Thanks again, I stuffed the three skimmers with polyester. We will see what it looks like. Any idea how quickly it should turn a darker color from white? I am asking because if metal is not my issue then we need to think what else it may be. I will take the tests again in a bit to see...

Thanks for your suggestion. I am going to use some old polyester from a pillow and see how things work out. Any idea how long it would take to see either partial or full results. Thx again.

Thanks again for the response.. I looked at the cartridge filter... looks ok. I am not sure if its because I pout in 30K+ of city water and only tapped off the pool with my well water. I don't spending $$$ for chemicals, I just don't want to be chasing wrong solutions. Most of my past...

Thanks for the response... I have been reading about this issue. A few posts state that the "Jacks Magic" does not work as he spent a couple hundred $$$ with no change. Some suggest using paper towels, etc... How much do you think my cartridge filter will take out? Thanks again.

I thought this being my XX year in opening my pool things would work out this year. I had to drain my pool due to coping and tile replacement I did this Spring. As in the past, I used my well to fill the pool. This year, I was about 3/4 full when I turned on the pumps, etc. All looked good...
