I thought this being my XX year in opening my pool things would work out this year.
I had to drain my pool due to coping and tile replacement I did this Spring.
As in the past, I used my well to fill the pool. This year, I was about 3/4 full when I turned on the pumps, etc.
All looked good until I started to SLAM. As in the past years, I added liquid chlorine (13+%). The next day my
pool was brown (coffee color). After spending a month doing the coping and tile, I didnt want to mess with the water,
so I drained and had water trucked in. All looked great for about 2 weeks. As water started to evaporate, I added well
water to top off. In reading some posts on metal water from wells, I bought a PreFilter MT-1050.
This morning, I woke up to a pool that is now turning greenish. I hope the water doesn't turn coffee brown again. But who knows at this point.
Here are my results using the recommended kit
pH = 6.8 - 7.2
CH = 5+
CH Drop Test TC = 5
870 turns pink
871 871 10 drops FC = 5
003 = 5 drops stays clear CC = 0
Calcium Hardness = 125ppm
R-011 = red
R-12 5 drops to blue
TA = 60
CYA < 20
0 when first filled by truck
Have been working this
Water getting cloudier
Thanks for any help in this.
