I have a small fountain near my front door. Maybe 6 or 7 feet in diameter, and maybe 6 to 8 inches deep. It gets leaves and dirt in it from time to time, and I need a cheap and easy way to clean it. Up until now, I have been pumping the water out periodically and using my Shop Vac to clean up...

Upon further reflection, I've decided to just replace the failed timer clock. I would like to have the flexibility of a smart switch, but I can't justify the cost or effort of installation. Replacing the timer clock is pretty dang simple, per YouTube. Keep It Simple, Stupid!

Thanks guys... The comment about the test reading low in cold water is interesting... It is cold (for Houston) here today, 30's... it was probably mid 90's last time I tested it... I think I will start my SLAM now, get it all good and let it heat up some around here...
