Thanks, Ok. I'll need to raise the water level and return to using skimmers & main drain. There doesn't seem to be any debris but it's possible the MD is clogged. Pool needs to clear up more. There is no flex PVC in the plumbing.

For the past 2 seasons, I had the skimmers turned off and using Main Drain only with no problems. Does using MD only cause a problem in the system? When I adjusted the Jandy valve earlier, the pump achieved full prime from about 80% prime (10-12 PSI) but then lost it and it has not recovered.

Thank you for your informative replies. I will pay more attention to the skimmers. I also have the valve at about 75% skimmers, I have two and 25% main drain. I deep cleaned the sand filter before opening this season. There may be more debris than usual because I didn't open the pool last year...

Update: No ducks today. I forgot to mention before, I noticed a foul odor in the area near the duck nest and when removing some duck feathers from the pool. Thank you. :cheers:

Hi all. I have seen ducks come and go before by my pool in the spring only but today I found a nest with duck eggs. 2 ducks have been spotted in the morning every day. I left the nest undisturbed with about 8 eggs. Any suggestions?

Update: The results of deep cleaning worked very well. I opened to a dark green pool because I did not open last season. The pool started turning blue after only 2 days. I can see the bottom of the shallow area. I took the advice from the experts here about opening earlier, when the water...
