I gave it a try. I think I like the steadiness of a salt water generator. When you slam are you using liquid bleach or granule? I liked the liquid I just didn't like buying and hauling it.

I have a salt cell that went bad last year. I switched to granules and 3"pucks. This year seems to be much more work than the salt cell with yellow algae. Does anyone have a recommendation either way. Maybe Im just having bad luck doing the manual mode. We have had a lot of rain.

I have a brand new heater that was installed last fall. I started to get this error this week and wasn't sure what to do?

We just closed our pool after installing a new heater (mastertemp 400hd). The spa run but the temp does not get above 65 no matter I set the temp to on my pentair app. Am I missing something?

My heater was turning on for 10 secs then off. I had the PB come out and look at it. While using the key pad on heater he said it began to smoke. Options that he gave me were to replace the unit for $4700 or replace heat exchanger, control board and membrane for $3100. Seems a bit pricey...

Quick one... When my infloor cleaners run at night should I have the pump/skimmers running also. I have a seperate pump for the cleaners. I only run my infloor cleaners for an hour in the middle of the night because I also use a robot daily to clean the floors.

I added 1 gallon of acid, went for beers and wings with the wife. Come home and its clear. I am not sure if it was the acid or the beer and wings?

pH 8.0 Alk 90 Really! I add 2 lbs of pak 200 and it goes from 6.4 to 8.0. I guess I have to add acid?

I use the K-2006. I got 7.0. I took it to the pool store and they got 6.4 which is the lowest they can measure. I guess it could have been lower than 6.4. What else would cause it to be that low. I measure regularly but fell asleep at the wheel and only measured TC for the past week. Still...

With a pH of 6.4 it’s going to take quite some time to raise it to normal levels even with adding 2 pounds of soda ash, correct?Have you had any experience with it clearing up within five or six hours or are we talking several days?
