One thing I wish I had done was have another deeper ledge or 2 on the swim outs on the deep end kind of like a stair case. I only have one in one corner, I would have had one in each if I was smarter.

I have a high calcium level, approx 500 ppm, and have this same problem. I try to keep the ph at about 7.2 but still get a bunch of white flakes. I assume the calcium is the problem, the cleaner picks most up, but I would like them to not exist.

This same thing happened to us back in 2011, they drilled some 1" dia holes to increase the drainage. Finally at the end of may they were able to plaster.

I had a water issue and the plaster company wouldn't do it until the seepage was nearly gone. We also drilled holes in the side of the shell to help the water drain, I put in an additional french drain above the pool to help, finally they were satisfied and it was plastered about 2 months later...
