    Pentair light problems

That doesn't exactly instill confidence.. :) At this point, I like the lights and I'm committed to them, so hopefully I will have better luck going forward.

    Pentair light problems

Update - I spoke to my electrician who installed the lights today. to him it sounds like the light engine is out on my Intelibrite and that 2 of the Globrites need to be replaced. It should all be under warranty since the pool is less than a year old. This s good news, but it makes me...

    Pentair light problems

The lights should still be under warranty - I did this as an owner-builder so I am the builder. I plan to call my electrician and ask if he has run into anything like this. I'm just wondering if the lights are truly bad or if this is potentially just something with Screenlogic that's...

    Travertine Deck

I used approx 1000 sqft of travertine pavers for the decking around my pool. The pavers will installed on top of compacted 1/4"- granite with no grout or sealer. The outside course of pavers is installed using mortar to prevent the pavers from moving, but all other pavers are just placed down...

    Skim a round

I agree with you - I have no doubt that the speed of the water once inside the skimmer is increased by installed the smaller diameter basket, but I don't understand how this translates to improved cleaning since the waterflow into the skimmer from the pool would stay the same....It looks like...

Self closing doors for final inspection for Arizona

I did an owner/builder for my pool over the summer, and my inspections were through the City of Phoenix. In the end, I had a local company install a self closer on a sliding glass door that I had in order to meet the pool barrier requirements. The requirements read that doors must be self...

OB in VEGAS - Another one!!!! :)

My shotcrete sub required me to wait 30 days before plaster if I wanted a warranty. Due to several things, it actually took my about 45 days to get my plaster once the shotcrete was done.

    Silly question on robotic cleaners

If you are building a new pool, then I would just run an outlet close to the pool when you are running the electrical for the pool lights, etc. It would be minimal cost to add, and depending on your pool layout and landscape you can likely find a location where the outlet is mostly hidden.

HELP - Opinions Needed on this stone work; new pool AZ

That looks like a mistake... I had some issues with travertine work around my pool as well. I wonder if you are using the same contractor that I used. PM me with the name of your sub if you don't mind.

    New Build In Mesa, Arizona

Re: New Build In Mesa, Arizona My shotcrete guys required me to let the shotcrete cure for a minimum of 30 days before plaster if I wanted them to warranty their work. It ended up taking me longer than thst to finish my decking and tile, but that was mostly because I had issues with my coping...

Skim Doctor 2, good or bad?

The skim around is a product that floats on the surface of the pool effectively adding another skimmer to the pool system, correct? I can see the benefit of this to keep the pool cleaner, but I still don't see any advantage to speeding up the water once it is already inside the skimmer. The...

Skim Doctor 2, good or bad?

Does anyone else feel this way? This has been my thought, but it seems like everyone sees the "vortex action" inside their skimmer basket and assumes that this means a cleaner pool. I'm a new pool owner, but my understanding is that the pool is kept clean by circulating water from the pool...
