All - I'm having a problem with the colors on my Pentair lights in my pool. Some details are below:

1: My pool was completed as an owner-builder pool in July 2017, just under 1 year ago
2: I have 1 Pentair Intellibrite 5G color LED light, and also 3 Pentaid color LED globrites installed
3: The pool and lighting is controlled through a Pentail Eazytouch panel and I have screenlogic with the wireless connection

No for some details on my problems:

The lights have been flawless all of last summer, all 4 lights (1 intellibrite + 3 globrites) were in sync and I could control the color of the lights through screenlogic on my phone.

A few weeks ago, we went to use the pool for the first time, and my wife used the screen logic app on her smartphone to turn them on. When she did so, the intellibrite light would not turn to the blue color, but would cycle through the other colors. It seems like the "BLUE" LED in th elight is't turning on, because when I select a purple color it looks red, etc. At this time, all 3 globrites were working as expected and changing colors in sync.

Yesterday, we tried the pool lights again, and now 2 of the globrites are stuck on "BLUE" while the 3rd globrite changes color as expected.

Initially I was thinking that just the blue LED on my intellibrite was broken, but now with the globrites giving me problems I'm wondering if it's something with screenlogic.

Summary:

1 intellibrite desn't turn on blue LED, but seems to attempt to change colors
2 out of 3 globrites stuck on blue color, do not change colors
1 out of 3 glorbrites working normal as expected

Any ideas?

The lights should still be under warranty - I did this as an owner-builder so I am the builder. I plan to call my electrician and ask if he has run into anything like this.

I'm just wondering if the lights are truly bad or if this is potentially just something with Screenlogic that's causeing the lights to act up.

I will try to reach Pentair customer service and see if they have any suggestions.

Update - I spoke to my electrician who installed the lights today. to him it sounds like the light engine is out on my Intelibrite and that 2 of the Globrites need to be replaced. It should all be under warranty since the pool is less than a year old. This s good news, but it makes me question things when 3 out of 4 lights fail within 10 months.

Hopefully this was just a fluke, because I really like the lights.

6 out of 7 of my intellibrite 5g’s failed in the 1st 10 months. Not sure what’s going on. Pentair has replaced the circuit board under warranty on those lights. We shall see how the new boards hold up. Purely suspicion, but I wonder if they got too hot during the construction process in the east Texas sun as they sat pre-wired on the side of the pool during coping phase...

That doesn't exactly instill confidence.. :)

At this point, I like the lights and I'm committed to them, so hopefully I will have better luck going forward.
