    Pool Heating

Added in information to my signature. This is a one time thing as its going to take a lot of gas to heat so I think the process to place the unit in service mode and heat manually is likely the best. I assume heating using the in floor cleaning system is probably best vs using the returns as...

    Pool Heating

Wanted to ask what would be the best way to temporarily heat my pool for a kids party. I have a single Variable speed pump motor that is tied to the spa and the pool. It runs the in floor cleaning for several hours a day and then circulates water through the returns for the remainder of the...

    Program Ramp Rates

When the pop up heads are running its running at the max speed of 3400 ish rpm I think. As it starts yes it slowly comes up to speed however when it shuts down or if I stop it it stops immediately vs running down. Yes the display does show not active. Have to see how to put it into service...

    Program Ramp Rates

So I have the Pentair Intellicenter with a Pentair VSF pump as my primary system. Is there a way to program the ramp rate for pump start and stop to reduce the hydraulic shock produced by suddenly stopping the pump from the Intellicenter or do I have to disconnect the pump and program that on...

    WiFi Connection Issue - Intellicenter

I am getting the error to make sure the WiFi cable is pugged in and powered error when I try to find a wireless network. I have the LAN cable plugged into the adapter on the back of the intellicenter panel and the 24V DC connector into the power connection and the adapter plugged into the back...

Both Pumps Running at the Same Time

Well thank you for the responses. As soon as I fixed the water feature pump to address #2 the issue went away. Funny I did not see that in the Intellicenter panel user guide or in the VSF pump manual that I could find.

Both Pumps Running at the Same Time

I have 2 VSF Pentair pumps on my new pool setup just started filling it yesterday. Its full enough now where I can blow out the pop up head lines to get any debris out of the pluming lines before putting the heads in. I went to start up the pool pump and both the pool VSF and the water feature...

Appreciate all of the inputs. I will hookup via the firemans switch for now and see what happens with Pentair. Thank you all.

Still waiting on Pentair however my basic question is now with the missing COMM port I assume the only method for me to hook up to the Intellicenter is via a 2 wire from the Intellicenter 24V 2 wire terminal connection to the fireman's switch as you would do for IntelliTouch and EasyTouch.

ok so I am still going back and forth with Pentair but in looking at the card in more detail I removed a sticker over one of those green screw terminal blocks that indicated 3 wire connection only. From the manual I assume that is for 3 wire control. Not entirely sure what that is for vs just...

Ok so Pentair responded to me by indicating that my unit was mfg in March. So I sent a note back then about the date on my serial number sticker being April 22 2021 and even then the COMM capability was supposed to be introduced in March anyway? Waiting to hear back again.

On the sticker with model and serial numbers the date is listed as April 22, 2021, hence my surprise/dismay etc that the unit did not include the COMM connection.

Thanks Jim. I have since gone back and looked at my heater and it must have been one of the last of the older configuration made as it does not have the COMM connector but was mfg in March so just the luck of the draw I guess:)
