I have 2 VSF Pentair pumps on my new pool setup just started filling it yesterday. Its full enough now where I can blow out the pop up head lines to get any debris out of the pluming lines before putting the heads in. I went to start up the pool pump and both the pool VSF and the water feature VSF turned on after touching the pool button on the Intellicenter. The water feature VST has completely separated plumbing. I have both pumps setup as separate pumps in the pump setup menu and have a pool spa combo that runs off of the same pump and the spa is separated just using valves. I do have both pumps wired up directly from the breakers and not through any AUX output. Not sure why the pumps both activate with the pool button. I am sure there is just some setting or setup I am missing. This is definitely a BIG step up from my prior yellow dial controllero_O.

Each pump needs its own pump address. That must be set up at the pump control head, disconnected from the automation (Service Mode).

AZ,

I suspect that you might also have a programming error.. For the pump to run it must know what speed to run.. You need to assign a speed for each circuit you want to run.

As an example.. The Pool Circuit might be 1500 RPM on pump #1.. Your "Water Feature" circuit might be 2500 RPM on pump #2.

For both pumps to run either means they both have the same RS-485 address, or you have assigned the same circuit to both pumps..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Well thank you for the responses. As soon as I fixed the water feature pump to address #2 the issue went away. Funny I did not see that in the Intellicenter panel user guide or in the VSF pump manual that I could find.
