New pool/spa build in North Texas Updated: PICS

Due to the weather lately I have not had the time to apply the sealer - need 72 hours of no rain for curing.

My understanding is that the sealer is a penetrating sealer and will not impact texture of color of the stone.

I will report back

Well folks, that's a wrap. 7 months of construction is complete. Some final pics

By the way, be sure to keep us posted on the sealer. I am holding off until I hear your take after application. Also, is the flow cell plumbing working out for you? I had issues with lack of pressure drop, and they mentioned they are trying something on yours and wanted to get some results before modifying mine. Currently my intellichem only detects flow when the booster is running, or the main pump is running at higher RPM.

Thanks everyone for the very kind comments.

We are very happy with the way things turned out. However, we certainly did not expect it to take 7 months to get here. We were told 8 weeks when signing the contract. We seemed to have the perfect storm of weather delays and a couple of re-do's due to quality issues, but in the end it worked out. I am just happy that we finished before the swim season starts, although having the backyard a muddy mess for 7 months was no pic-nic.

Bhargraves - will let you know as soon as I can get the sealer down, but I'm 99% sure no impact to stone texture or color based on the several reviews I've read.

On the intellichem - Yes, it was not plumbed in the optimum manner. Currently it only works on high speed, which defeats the purpose of having a variable speed pump operating on low.

The solution is to run the inlet to the intellichem just after the filter. The outlet is plumbed on the suction side just before the pump. This will allow the intellichem to have continued flow even as low as 1000RPM. The builder has ordered additional tubing and will be testing my theory and then implementing on your end if successful.

I've read a couple forum posts which verify this solution works, so I'm confident of success

I'm saving this pic for reference. I really like how "clean" you've got everything around the equipment !!!

Thanks! The wife would prefer to hide the equipment and accused me of highlighting it with the landscaping :) I'm sure we'll reach a happy medium eventually - I think it looks good

This photo made me smile. Your dog seems to be enjoying the pool. Your setup turned out looking great!

Yes, I have 2 jack russells and I cannot keep them out of the pool!

I just love the pool! I am also smitten with how nice and tidy the equipment pad looks! I don't think it needs changed at all IMO.
