Im about to replace the motherboard on a pentair easy touch system. After connecting all of the inputs to the motherboard, does it need to be reprogrammed? This is my first time tackling this motherboard problem.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TFP.

Depends what equipment you have. Can you tell us what is connected to each AUX relay and actuator socket?

You need to set the correct circuit types for AUX circuits, VS speeds if you have a VS pump, and program the desired schedules. You need to create any Feature Circuits needed.

Showing us pictures of your equipment pad can be helpful.

I have a variable speed pump. I can program the schedules. I have a antifreeze function for cold weather on my pump; does it need to be created again?

Images from earlier today when I had the control board opened.

Sorry, really new at doing this is fumbling a long.

I took a picture of my pump screen. It shows "0 rpm" and "running schedule." Before it just showed "Display."

So is it my motherboard or something else? Pump runs when I push any of the 4 numbered buttons.

S,

Aare you in Auto or the Service mode???

Are you in the Pool mode or Spa mode??

You pretty much have to 'program' the pump with the pump speeds you want, the type of VS pump, you have to schedule the pump to run..

Do you have ScreenLogic???

I don't see where the pump's com cable is connected to your EasyTouch??? Do you have an Internal SWCG power supply card?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Why are you replacing the EasyTouch board?

Why are you installing an obsolete board instead of doing the IntelliCenter upgrade?

Show us one picture of the entire EasyTouch PCB so we can see all the wiring.

Show us the high voltage panel open with the relays and wiring.

Novice here, buy I have your system. One all leads are reconnected you will have to reprogram your settings on the easy touch. When in Auto mode your pump will defer to those settings. It is a bit of a pain to program on the small screen of the easy touch. You might want to add a screenlogic transmitter (if they still sell it) to your com port and do it over wifi from your laptop or PC.

It is still available but a new EasyTouch PCB + Screenlogic costs about as much as the IntelliCenter upgrade.

Thank. That helps.
