Seeking help with a DelCheck CO-0102 replacement option

The DelCheck CO-0102 is discontinued and no longer available. This valve operated between 7 and 15 pounds of pressure. It is used for the heat pump and gas heater to ensure that water limits (70 gal per minute) is not exceeded on the heat pump, if the pressure exceeds that value then the valve opens up to let water through.

I am seeing that DelCheck has a 5 pound replacement unit that looks very similar to the one that is currently installed.

Also, a store recommended that I go with the pentair R172288. Can't really see the insides in the product and the documentation indicates that it's a 2 pound.

Any suggestions on what to choose as a replacement?

Pictures below:
  1. Picture of the delcheck valve used by the heat pump
  2. Picture of the delcheck valve used by the gas heater
  3. Picture of the delcheck valve that is used to force water to an IPS Controller that monitors the pool chemistry

Thanks in advance.

The one you have is still available...just a new part #

I called several companies prior to posting. All said that even the newer model number is discontinued. They suggested the pentair product, but that's only 2#.

I've learned that the sites that show that they have the product "in stock", sometimes take your money and make it very hard to get a refund.

A good thought, thanks for taking the time to investigate.
