SWG failing?

Is my SWG sufficient for my pool? From what I've been seeing on TFP, it is not.
I cannot enter diagnostics mode anymore. The SALT led is flashing red. Taylor K2006 Salt says salt level is 4000.
When pool was built, the pool guys dumped in way to much salt, and just said, "you won't have to add salt for a very long time." Salt reading were 5800-6200.
I feel like a need an expert set of eyes on what I've got going on here. The water is clear, and 89*F

Red Flashing SALT LED implies low salt.
You can try replacing the flow switch (it has a built in thermistor that is used to calculate salinity).

How old is the unit?

You should have a 3 year warranty.

Pentair Ichlor30: salt light flashing red. I cannot get diagnostic mode to work.
Taylor K2600C Salt test says 5400 last night 9pm, 5800 at 10am this morning. AquaChek Salt Salt System strip reads 5270 at 12p.
Had to add water 1&2 days ago. This is my 2nd summer with SWG FG pool. Last year was easy. Levels stayed good much of summer. I didn't have help from the pool guys this year and likely did startup incorrectly.
Current levels:

Salt 5270
Water temp 87
Calculates CSI at 0.42
Water is cloudy

The new flow switch finally arrived and I just installed it. My SWG is working again!!! So thankful for you and TFP Now I’m going to celebrate

I spoke too soon. The SWG appeared to be working correctly after I installed new flow temperature switch. It's back to same thing as before.
Salt led flashing red.
Cell led OFF
Flow led green.
The output screen has the rotating circle and 100 ALL THE TIME. I cannot enter diagnostic mode or change anything--maybe because it's essentially OFF (cell led off). Taylor test kit reads salt at 4200.
I'm going to contact Pentair--maybe pool builder tomorrow?--and get warranty claim submitted.
If I need a replacement, I'll get IC40
