Nah, all good. FC will come down over time with sun, swimming etc. One time event is no big deal...
That’s what I did!For both the TA and CH tests - continue to add drops until the last drop doesn't change the color any further. Then subtract the last drop that didn't change the color.
My alkalinity being at 40ppm? And my ph being over 8.2?Those two parameters are not likely to exist. Check the testing.
I did them all 2 times before I posted my numbers. Those two parameters are not likely to exist. Check the testing.
Just leave it. It will come down during the SLAM.Ok so I got ph down to 7.4 then dumped in 5.5 gallons of chlorine. I let it filter for an hr or so and I just tested fc and it’s now at 45, that’s definitely more than my target of 24. What do I do?
Correct. High pH with that TA is not likely. Just be aware that adding acid could crash the TA. To be honest, with that TA, I would ignore the pH.My alkalinity being at 40ppm? And my ph being over 8.2?
Oh gosh no one mentioned that till now. I already adjusted it to 7.4 and proceeded with slamCorrect. High pH with that TA is not likely. Just be aware that adding acid could crash the TA. To be honest, with that TA, I would ignore the pH.

Test the TA.
thats exactly what I thought when I got the result, then proceeded to test again 2 more times using alll the information and videos on testing, I am pretty sure I have the numbers right now!Your TA went up.
Testing error sometime.
Not issue.
Follow the SLAM Process. Read the article. So do I let the FC fall till it hits 24 and then maintain that? Or do I hold the 40?
