Pre pool opening (white water mold)

Idk if you remember me mentioning stains/spots in the pool? The are becoming more numerous. I tried rubbing a puck on them and the vit c. Neither worked.
Is there something I can safely try to scrub the fiberglass with, to try to lift the stains ?

As part of our “start up” package, 3 years ago metal magic was included but I’ve never used it.
Some appear “rusty” looking, some appear black. Most are small or very small. Occasionally I find one I can scratch with my fingernail and something seems to break apart but it rarely disappears altogether. Seems the sooner I notice it and scratch it the easier it breaks up, older ones don’t budge.
I tried a no scratch dish sponge today also no luck. All seem to be appearing on the steps or in the corners, under the skimmer is particularly bad.

We are having a lil shin dig tomorrow. Expecting 8 adults to use the pool. I compensate for this how?
Before they use it? After? Both ?

I’ve been keeping her about 7-8 ppm fc
It falls to about 4-5 with no one getting in. Open most of the day

Ph currently 7.8 lower tonight or after they leave tomorrow ?

Fc was 9.5 this morning it 2.5 now
Would a full gallon hurt anything ?
Taking me to 12.5
There was sunscreen being slathered like mayonnaise today 🤢

There would be no need to. A full gallon, even if it was weak, would be 'enough FC for today'.

If it's enough for tomorrow and the next day, well, that's a present for future you to unwrap. She's gonna LOVE it !!! :ROFLMAO:

Better pics of “stains”/spots which seem to keep multiplying
They appear to be pitted like pieces of the fiberglass gone.
(Maybe @Texas Splash is on vacation)
Like not a stain at all, which makes sense why the pucks or vit c didn’t work.
But now what?
Am I causing this somehow? Or this is normal for fiberglass?

Find some Bar Keeper’s Friend powder (usually in the kitchen cleaning chemicals aisle at the supermarket) and put the powder in a thin sock or a nylon. You just need enough to make a pouch to cover the stain. Set the pouch on the stain and let it sit there for 5mins or so. Don’t scrub it or move it, just let it sit there.

Report back what you see.

I have a pretty solid scum line, I’m assuming from my mini shindig … sunscreens etc . My brush isn’t cutting it. Suggestions ?

Years prior I’ve used proteam something or other maybe tile and vinyl I’d have to look for the bottle
