Polywood Furniture

Here are the two different styles of chair I have. The one on the left is the true adirondack, the one on the right is more upright and came with the dining table.

FYI... the adirondack are impossible for me to lift and carry. I have to tilt them on two legs and walk them around. They really need wheels. I'm not kidding they are HEAVY. I only have 3 of 6 put together.

Looking forward to some pictures! We're going to see Pollywood stuff in person this weekend ... considering buying adirondack chairs, chaise lounge, and some deep seating.
Lift them and move them to test them out. We move our stuff around the pool all the time. FYI the chaise lounge chairs with wheels are priceless!

We checked some of the Pollywood stuff out in person yesterday. Really like it! I am curious what size is your teal circular table w/ umbrella? Guessing the Round 37" Conversation Table?

Probably going to get:

2 x Nautical 3-Piece Curveback Adirondack Set
2 x Nautical 3-Piece Chaise Set with Wheels
1 x Round 37" Conversation Table

We also like the Country Living 3-Piece Bar Set and Estate / Presidential Rocking Chairs, but it's all adding up fast haha.

My wife and I are trying to decide on some poolside furniture and are leaning towards the Polywood Long Beach Adirondack Chairs that are on sale right now at Costco. She really wants Navy chairs and they seem to be a really good price for Polywood. Our pool has only been filled since last August (didn't want to make a rush decision at the time when options seemed more limited to stock on hand) and now that our swim season started, we want t get started on more of the non-pool backyard projects that were left unifnished.

I have a couple of questions though for current owners. Does anyone use their Polywood Adirondack chairs on their sun shelves? I know others have used the less expensive Adirondack chairs for that purpose, but after checking out the Lowe's molded chairs and some chairs at Sam's Club, we wanted something that felt like it had more substance to them. Also, for those with the darker colors, are you able to sit on them without cushions in the sun? Any help is appreciated.

I have one of the darker blue (not navy), and it gets way hot. I've got a friend who has brown ones (not sure if actual Polywood or not, but similar material) and those get so hot you can't even think about sitting in them.

The lighter colored ones I have are not too bad at all. They do get warm also, but not so bad you can't sit in them.

I haven't used the chairs on my sun shelf, but I did buy one of their side tables to use there. Drilled a hole through the top for my umbrella to pass through.

The round 37" sounds right.

Yep, its like all the kids swingsets I see in green, blue, etc, hot enough to literally scald. Only yellow slides don't get blazing hot. Told so many neighbors about this and they didn't listen (we had green on the first house and became useless in the sun.) and now I see navy blue and green and the slides are useless. You can lead a horse to water.... So definitely take sun exposure for heat into consideration when you pick your colors out.

Picked ours up fully assembled at an Amish barn/factory in Lancaster. Many places use Polywood to make furniture so there are lots of sourcing options.

Love me some Costco for this and lots of other stuff. Delivered to my door in just about a week, and some of the best prices I have seen.

For the color conversation I have all white and very comfortable even in south Florida.

Now, the quest for some cushions that dont suck.

Do the cushions make you all hot and sweaty when you use them on patio furniture? Never have used them so just wondering.

I have cushions for my Adirondack chairs and I keep them in a box. I only take them out at night if we are sitting around the firepit or grilling. The chairs are pretty comfortable without the cushions, so if we are swimming and wet no cushions.

I bought a dining table with 8 chairs so I am looking for some very comfortable seat pads for those. Probably something with memory foam, but we will see. The specific color of cushion that my wife wants is 3X more expensive than the cushions I want. Go figure.

It’s even worse. We are not even talking about different colors, we are talking about shades of colors. I found some nice navy colored cushions and she wants some blue sea foam color that matches the pool tile better. 3X the price for a shade of color.

Guess which ones we are buying.

I knew which ones you were buying as soon as you said 'wife'. :laughblue:
