Just finished my pool build. Overflow is in the back of my skimmer. Seems as if has been placed to low in as I am not able to get the water at the half way point on my water line tile without it just leaking out. Let me know your opinions. TIA

Welcome to TFP.

Show us pics of how the skimmer mouth is positioned along the tile line and coping.

Think about creating a small snorkel so you raise the inlet of the overflow. The snorkel needs to be removable so you can remove the skimmer basket.

Keith,

I am not a fan of using the skimmer as an overflow port, but they don't just punch a hole at any place they want, the skimmer comes with a plugged hole that they just open.

Half was up the skimmer's mouth is about right.

I like Allen's idea of a snorkel...

Thanks,

Jim R.

Sometimes the water level looks lower than the halfway point of the tile line because of light refraction. Try measuring to make sure, but the real goal is to ensure the water is halfway up the skimmer opening not necessarily the tile.

That water level looks acceptable. See how things work out running it at that level.

Do you have an autofill?
