Still SLAMing, but only lost 2.5 ppm during last nights OCLT.
My CYA is down to 40 after water loss from swimming/splashing/evaporation and adding water both manually and by rain… so my new target is 16 ppm which is definitely helping with how much bleach is needed

I can see why people give up!! It’s so deceiving- in the past, I would have stopped super chlorinating with a clear pool no wonder I had issues

The whole premise of the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test is what sold me on the tfp /slam idea. It was enlightening to know there was a more definitive way than just how I thought the water “looked” to decide whether I was in the clear or not.

It’s pretty darn close. We got several inches of rain. I can only see the top screw on the skimmer

OK -- as long as the pump was running all night it likely had little effect.
