Sand filter pressure high

I have a 8 month old sand filter and the pressure is at 25 to 30 psi.

I've backwash a couple of times, the last time for 90 seconds and the pressure doesn't come down. And I think it's affecting flow for heater. Keep getting HS code on hayward gas heater.

What is going on?

I've been fighting it but in pool almost gone

Your sand filter may need a deep clean. Have you used any pool store potions -- floc, clarifier, etc.

The heater goes to 30○ and then stops and drops tp 27○ fast and then heater turns on , goes to 30 fast and turns off and it's been going like this

Can that be affecting the flow to the heater as well?

The flow to the heater is through the sand filter. If the filter is plugged, you are not getting flow to the heater.

Put your MPV in recirculate. See what happens.

Ok, so should I turn off pump immediately and can I just change the sand?

Then you have a valve closed or partially closed somewhere. Recirculate bypasses the filter.

Or the MPV is messed up.

I only have 2 valves and just checked they're both open!

Something is restricting the flow somewhere. According to the filter pressure, it is on the pump side.

I assume the pressure gauge goes to 0 when the pump is off.

I just looked to pump and nothing is restricting there! Yes gauge goes to 0 when off

I've take out all the pipes from pump to filter and nothing restricting. I don't understand
