What did you do to your pool today?

I cleaned my salt cell sensor for the first time ever. It was reading so low (2400) that it was giving a warning/error. Taylor salt test showed 3400. I cleaned the sensors with a slightly abrasive bleach cleaning pad and then wiped with rubbing alcohol. Sensor now reads 3100. It has always read a little low - I just wanted to get rid of the error message.

Got rid of all grass in the back! Tired of watering the yard and grass in the pool from mowing. No more grassed, replaced it all with texas black star gravel. Waiting on the pots to come in this week to get the trees and some color back and not just a see of gray lol. once the pots are in, ill see how much space is left and possibly add another lounger or two. Disregard the back fence, waiting for the spring to replace lol.

Looks great 👍🏻 my sister in law has mulch in her area like that & it always gets in the pool 😩 rocks don’t seem to pose the same problem. Also easier to blow the leaves out that end up there.
* Pro tip I saw on the YouTube *
wash/rinse your rocks a couple times after install
This does a couple things- gets the dust off of them so they really look great & it helps them “settle in”.
I have rocks in most of my flower beds since they don’t float & wash away like mulch. I love it. Planning on doing the rest this spring.

Thanks, I've already rinsed them a few times, plus some rain. Theyll get cleaned up and settled eventually. I need to get a bit of soil and mulch, maybe rubber mulch, for the two "beds" around the utility boxes with the jasmines. The pool should stay much cleaner though! I'm hoping less bugs too!

I cleaned my Pentair DE Filter. It was in the high 70's today and overcast so took advantage of the great temperature to work outside. It was in pretty good shape when disassembled it. Everything washed, orings lubed, and reassembled with no leaks. Ready for spring swimming as soon as we get past this one more (hopefully) cold front coming down to Houston area later this week.

Decided since I had an early day today, I'd pull some water from the pool. Well I just remembered what I did! My ledge is still fully submerged except the first step in. I should be ok.

Oops.

I took advantage of our outstanding weather to fix up a couple of tiles that had some grout missing. Thanks to TFP, I was able to get the repairs done quickly and easily using some E-Z Patch 4 FS. Tomorrow and Saturday our weather stays pretty warm, so I am currently heating the pool for some pre-pool-season action. WOOT!!! 👍👍👍

I want to go down and take my cover off but I'm holding out!!! Pretty soon. Everything is ok n doesn't need attention at the moment but I stare at it from the window. I was taking pictures of my green giants. My grass is coming along but I've got some bald patches. I have more seed. I'm waiting for a quote on extending my pool deck n steps leading down and through the gate with a walk way.
