Just a thanks to everybody behind and visibly in front of all these discussions. I’ve been swamped on weekends getting the yard prepped for pool building and have missed them all, but enjoyed the replays thoroughly. I think they have an INCREDIBLE value for folks that they apply too, and are neat for the others to learn too.

Keep it up, y’all’s amazing.

For anyone who may have experienced lag on wifi connections during zoom sessions there are two things you can try that may improve your zoom experience. One is to use a cat 5 cable to connect directly from your wifi router to your computer. The other thing you can try if you can use your cell phone as a hotspot and have a strong signal, is to connect via your phone hotspot. Either of these methods should give a stronger signal with less lag and signal drop during the zoom.

Good idea, but order the cable online from amazon, if you walk into a "computer" store and ask for a 50" cat6 cable you will feel like your in a pool store. That $35 cable can be bought online for $10 and probably better quality :)

You do not need to join until Saturday ----

I am getting emails that you are joining. Check your video.

From a year of daily stand up meetings with the staff one thing we learned with webex and zoom is wireless headphones can cause a bunch of issues. I think that was the culprit for the SWCG session. If I recall Jim's audio was the laggy one so you might want to just go with the computer mic it usually works without any issues.

I have lots of “kid obligations” that morning but I will likely join via my cellphone and Aftershokz headphones. I’ll stay on mute.

What about me and my amazing 0.6Mbps upload speeds? 😂 And I’m not standing on the back porch holding my Cell in the air to get a signal there either………

I’m actually mad at Marty right now for doing such an amazing job on this. For years I avoided Comcast as I greatly wanted to avoid having to see if the stories about their poor customer service were true or not. Additionally wasn’t sure if they’d actually even service the house where we were. I made by just fine with DSL until these meetings started up. If anybody watched the second video with Matt and I, it was painful!

Tomorrow however I’m moving into modern times though and biting the bullet on new internet service. Was able to get Comcast without a long term contract and looking forward to improved speeds. Let’s hope this works better for Marty’s sake, cause he can attest I’ve tried about every other option to improve some of the video quality on these videos. 😂

I am not a Comcast fan either but my options were Comcast at one gig or AT&T DSL at 3 meg.
I found the best way to deal with Comcast is chat vs phone calls
wish we had more choices

Mr Burns monitors those chats and is just ready to "release the hounds" the moment a customer complains. Cable companies have quasi utility protection but without any level of accountability for service. That said Mr Burns, my service is good with 1 Gig so don't release the hounds!!
