Is there anything I can do? A little research says there is nothing to do about it. Attached is some photos. It feels soft in some spots when I press my hand against it.
I hate to say it but Marty is correct. Now saying that you can leave it like it is for the time being so long as you are not losing any water. That will allow you to use the pool this summer while you look for a good plaster crew to chip out ALL of your old plaster (some might try to say only chip out the bad spots but a full chip out is much better in the long run) and replaster.
will definitely wait till summer is over to replaster. Man, I just got the hang of pool chemistry to have a balanced pool and had to drain it to get CYA levels to 50 and now this! Ok, thanks for the advice everyone! Pool maintenance is fun but expensive at the same time.
