Brand new Circupool sj-45 shuts off after salt and cell lights turn on red

Is the duty cycle turned up to full power? The cell should make chlorine for a bit then turn off for a bit then on again. Kinda grasping at straws.

If it were me, I’d assume I did something wrong on install. I might try another outlet, even one that’s not GFI. I might also try 220V if you have it. Maybe also try two outlets in different branch circuits in case it’s an over current issue.
Is the flow switch installed the right orientation?

If by duty cycle you mean the % of chlorine output, I’ve tried it at all of the settings. Same results, it works for about one minute, the flow light stays green, the generator light goes off, the cell light turns red and the salt light turns red. The water temp light never comes on, water is almost 70 degrees. I don’t have 220v that I can get to. I will switch plug ins and see what happens. The unit itself doesn’t shut off or seem to loose electricity, it just shoots warning lights and stops producing.

lets get crazzzyy then..

take a 1 gallon bucket and fill it 3/4 with hot water... put a couple handfuls of salt in it and mix it up till the salt is gone...

Pour it into the skimmer slowly and see if the lights go green.... just trying to get something happening...

And I’m out of salt😩
I’ve order some from Lowe’s, so I’ll try when I get it.
I switched plug ins,. No change😢

When they sent you a new cell, did it come with a new control unit as well???? Maybe the control unit is the issue??

Otherwise, I agree, try another plug, even if it's just temporary. Hopefully you can eliminate or confirm the outlet as your problem.

this is the second cell and complete system..

Can you show a picture of your system, cell and flow meter? maybe we will see something... :)

I have no idea.. it was looking for a shock of salt or something.. I think now that it is working its going to be fine.. crossing my fingers and GREAT job sticking with it... :) :whoot:

your setup looks good, I wonder if it is pushing to much water to fast.. that is a 1.5 hp coming straight out of the filter... What is your PSI?

Just kind of guessing why it happened... hopefully it is happy now :)

the knob is actually the power supply and depending on the salt level will depend on the power level being supplied to the cell.. :)

Were you adjusting a salinity knob/screw? I wonder if that was related to the issue. Mine doesn’t have an adjustment like that.
I did adjust a screw. DPS sent me a detailed set of instructions with photos. I turned it 1/4 turn to the right,.. when that didn’t work I moved it back and then turned it 1/4 to the left. It didn’t work until I poured hot salty water through my skimmer while it was running. It ran for 5 hours last night.
However, it will not come back on today😩
