Hi, thank you for any help/advice/direction we can get regarding our new salt water pool.
Our pool was plastered last week in Quartzscapes Tahoe Blue. We were given no other instructions by anyone other than the last plaster guy before he left - add two hoses and fill it. It rained that night and part of the following day. Mud is all around our pool. An animal and/or mother nature or who knows what caused mud to go on our sundeck, a few spots on the steps, shallow end, and in the hot tub before the water from the hoses reached those places. We do not have an animal but did see animal prints on the lueder stone one morning - maybe a cat - who knows. The pool company was working around it filled and then when the pool was full and said nothing about the mud at that time.
The pool equipment guy came out to hook it up and when he left, the PB told us to brush the pool every day for a week - four times a day. And then mentioned that the mud is cured into the plaster. He was going to mention it to the owner and the equipment guy put a ton of chemicals in it, which should help. It hasn't.
The owner (the next day) said he has a few ideas. That was five days ago and we haven't heard anything. It's continuing to cure, which is stressful. After reading several threads on here, I'm thinking this is not going to be fixed by just letting it continue to cure or with a bunch of chemicals.
Any hope of cleaning these off or will it need to be replastered? If it needs to be replastered, can we just get the sundeck and then the few spots replastered or that won't adhere long term?
Thank you for your help.
