Looks like you’re in Louisiana too. We got a decent amount of rain yesterday in Vernon and it didn’t help. Did it rain a bunch where you’re at?Stay patient, I’m over 2 weeks into mine and i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel

In your original post, you said that you had a quote to drain, clean and fill for $800. So far, are you happy you’re saving most of that money? Or, do you wish you’d have just paid the price and been done with it?The wait is dreadful. Little itty bitty improvements day by day. About to just throw some algae eaters (the fish) in there with a new cartridge filter![]()
You cannot drain a vinyl liner pool. Unless you wish to replace the liner.drain, clean and fill
I did not know that. I was just going by his original post. Guess it’s a good thing he didn’t go that route. You cannot drain a vinyl liner pool. Unless you wish to replace the liner.
I am thankful that I didn’t go that route. It’s the only “pool store” in the parish and they really take advantage of the customers with their high prices I never realized it until I came to this forum. It’s a shame truly. In your original post, you said that you had a quote to drain, clean and fill for $800. So far, are you happy you’re saving most of that money? They are all like that. You need magic this and potion that and that will be $200.I am thankful that I didn’t go that route. What and engaging and fun filled thread that was. I’m currently on day 11 of the slam process. Here’s what we’re looking like compared to what we started with. While you wait out the boring part of this where there isn't all that much to do, read the thread posted above in post # 181. It's about the best read you can find. Put your bathing suit on first. You may wet your pants laughing a couple times. Fair warning.
We knew that without you explaining. See? You are definitely making progress!First four pictures are the present. The fourth picture is looking from the deep end > shallow end.
Yea I got about 3” of rain overnight but it seems to have helped my pool out. My water is finally getting back to normal.Looks like you’re in Louisiana too. We got a decent amount of rain yesterday in Vernon and it didn’t help. Did it rain a bunch where you’re at?
It has not shifted. It seems to be the seal on the face that has failed. I have a video but unsure of how to upload. Here are pics of current poolCan you see into the skimmer to see if it has shifted or anything like that?
I am very glad to hear it is clearing up!!
