Looks like you’re in Louisiana too. We got a decent amount of rain yesterday in Vernon and it didn’t help. Did it rain a bunch where you’re at?
Drain pool or chem treat?

In your original post, you said that you had a quote to drain, clean and fill for $800. So far, are you happy you’re saving most of that money? Or, do you wish you’d have just paid the price and been done with it?The wait is dreadful. Little itty bitty improvements day by day. About to just throw some algae eaters (the fish) in there with a new cartridge filter

You cannot drain a vinyl liner pool. Unless you wish to replace the liner.
I did not know that. I was just going by his original post. Guess it’s a good thing he didn’t go that route.
I am thankful that I didn’t go that route. It’s the only “pool store” in the parish and they really take advantage of the customers with their high prices I never realized it until I came to this forum. It’s a shame truly.

Yea I got about 3” of rain overnight but it seems to have helped my pool out. My water is finally getting back to normal.

there’s a leak somewhere. Consistently losing about 2 inches overnight and an inch/inch and a half throughout the day. What do I do and where do I begin.
I did the dye test, the seal between the skimmer face and the pool is the cause of the leak.
So it’s been raining non stop the past few days. Haven’t really been worried about the leak. The pool is turning over very well. Visibility in the deep end of the pool had increased by leaps and bounds.
Can you see into the skimmer to see if it has shifted or anything like that?

It has not shifted. It seems to be the seal on the face that has failed. I have a video but unsure of how to upload. Here are pics of current pool
