Second summer with pool, first self opening

I'm excited that we're opening pool ourselves this year! Just took cover off and it beautiful . So I looked at the opening procedures and just want to make sure I have this right. Is it as simple as unplugging the jets?, taking out the gizmos, filling up pool and turning it on?? Big question before I do anything else is should we clean the filter (sand dollar)? Thanks in advance!

Replace any drain plugs in pump, filter, or heater.

Check the way the MasterTemp was winterized. Pentair recommends removing water pressure switch and covering air intake.

Big question before I do anything else is should we clean the filter (sand dollar)? Thanks in advance!
