So since these posts, we probably have had between 14-18 inches of rain recorded at Miami Int'l. Simply unreal.

Has excavation held off? I am in a similar spot myself. They came out and drew the pool boundaries, but excavation on hold until we exit this cycle of torrential rain.

Well that swamp/lake you are building next too will fill your hole to its level. They will pump out and gunite.

waiting on inspections now, 2 of them done, other guy not coming until Monday smh.

After he clears it though hopefully we get a rain free day next week to shotcrete before these walls collapse from rain/erosion!

this aerial shot really captures the mess:

is it weird that all the return lines and such arent put in before shotcrete? I assumed all plumbing would be done first, but it seems that only have the main drain and skimmer in place then plumbing happens later?
That is how they are doing my pool. They don't want cave ins with all the rain, so they will open up holes for all the plumbing/light features in the concrete and the plumber will concrete the pipes in.

Wow, that is going to be great when finished!

Sort of a mirror image of my pool with a step on one side of the deep end. Only I have rounded corners.

That water table in Florida is no joke. Half surprised your house isn't floating away.
