Converting from baquacil to cholrine

You want sodium hypochlorite.

Janitorial supply, Ocean State Job Lot, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Walmart .....

I m trying to find liquid cholrine, I read that I could try tractor supply, but all I see in 30 gallon drums is liquid calcium chloride. That is not what I m looking for as it has calcium in it, am I right?

Questions -

What is your current sanitizer level?

Did you drain some of the pool at closing and refill with any fresh water?

Did you use any CDX product in your pool?

Please create a signature with your pool specs, equipment, volume, etc.

Please do not convert until you have answered the questions above and do not add anything to your pool.

I haven't taken the cover off the pool.yes we drained some water down, not a whole lot.Yes we used cdx. It is 14,000. Gallons with a sand filter.

Is water cheap where you are?

If so, I would suggest draining about 2/3rds of the pool and refill with fresh water. The presence of CDX could potentially drag your conversion out for weeks. It’s up to you of course, but given the shortages in many areas with respect to liquid chlorine, you could be stuck with an unusable pool for weeks.
