New Construction - Granbury, Texas

Concrete for garage/storage, pergola and fire pit completed today. Some of the pool tile was done today as well and will be finished on Friday. Loving the pool tile we chose.

The garage/storage building got started yesterday. We are waiting on our bullnose coping to arrive so the coping and pool tile can be completed. Rock for the fire pit and spa arrived yesterday so we are hoping that will get started soon too. I am so excited to get this done and be in our pool :)

Can I get some not pool-related but pool-project/contractor related question, please?

They painted the garage/pool storage yesterday and the trim color is way off (it is much too yellow)...who is responsible for the fix? I did provide them some samples I had in the garage but made sure to tell them I was not sure those were the colors used. I have provided pictures of both our house (picture from when it was built 2.5 years ago) and the garage for reference. He said he thinks it is the same color but faded, I say no way. Now he says I provided the colors (color samples) and we would be responsible for the cost to change in color. Thoughts??

Hey - was thinking about your build when we were in GB last weekend.

First of all, there is no way that is the same color. I would check to see if it matches the sample you gave them. Hopefully it does not and you have that.
If it matches the sample that you provided, I would think the best you can hope for is the company offering to do a repaint for a reduced price.

Good luck.

Thank you, I will check to see if the sample matches what they painted. Did you come to visit Granbury square? We live right off of the square in the historic district.

We didnt go to the square this time, but visit the square most times. Last time we hit up the Eighteen Ninety Grill on the square for the first time, and it was excellent.

My mom lives off of Water's Edge so we hung out with her, took out the boat, and went to Stumpys for drinks/food.

We have decided to put in a rail from the concrete to the tanning ledge (similar to the attached picture) since we are going to do the SWG, would you suggest brass or stainless steel hardware to be inserted into the concrete to hold the rail?

Having run a painting company for many years , yellows were some of the worst offenders for fading. When a client would provide us with a sample to be matched , we would do a small test area , get the customers approval, and then proceed. It helped alleviate what you’re experiencing.
