The latest update for OmniLogic is available (R3.2.0) and includes a number of new features and enhancements! I installed the update with no issues, and so far, everything is working as expected. Here is a list of new goodies: (I'm playing with the new scheduling features for heaters and chlorinators - this finally appears to work as I would expect it to!)

Features and Enhancements
Firmware R3.2.0 for Omni Control Products includes new features and an extensive list of improvements.
  • Low Salt Chlorination: Added a Low Salt configuration that lowers the alarm threshold for low salt operations down to 800ppm. (HLBASE only)
  • Pentair IntelliFlo VS Pumps Support - Ability to control Pentair Intelliflo VS pumps with Pump Converter accessory board (HLPMPCONV).
  • Expansion Panel Gateway (EPG): Expansion panel doubled the controls capability of an OmniLogic. It is now supported with the latest Omni Control Features including Omni Direct lighting and WiFi HLWLAN connectivity.
  • Default Startup Speeds for Valves: Added ability to associate VS filter speeds to valve positions.
  • Pool Cover Interlock Scaleback: Added ability to associate filter speed, heater set point, and chlorination percentage to the pool cover closed interlock.
  • Schedule - Heat and Chlorination: Schedules can now enable/disable Heaters and Chlorination as part of the schedule.
  • Dramatically Improved Interlock configuration: with added ability to associate a theme with an interlock.
  • Geothermal: Added support for Geothermal heat source.
  • Heater with Valve: Added ability to configure any type of heater with a valve.
  • TurboCell T-3: Added support for TCell-3 chlorination cells.
  • T-3 and T9 - Salt formulas have been updated
  • Omni Direct: Direct access to change light modes for UCL and Omni Direct in Service Mode.
  • Touch Screen Calibration: Pressing the boot screen for ten seconds during power up enters touch calibration mode.
  • Improved Mobile App connectivity
  • Network Settings Saved: Ability to preserve network configuration when performing a factory reset.
  • Cloning - Cloning can be used to replace an MSP. Registration of new MSP is still required.
  • Improved Simple Mode feature selection.
  • Mainboard temperature is now displayed under chlorination diagnostics.
  • Heater cool-down now adheres to the minimum filter speed setting for heating.
  • Added system configuration error checking and verification.
  • ORP will generate chlorine when the reading is less than 20 millivolts below the set point.
  • Firmware files with extensions will now be recognized and used for system upgrades.
  • When Solar or heat pump heater priority duration is 24 hours, it will restart its priority and duration and shut off other running heaters, every time solar or heat pump becomes available.

FYI, I found a bug in the new R3.2 firmware. If you have a schedule set up that changes the filter speed while the heater is running, it will shut down the heater. The only way to get it running again is to restart the Omni.

I have reported it to Hayward - we'll see how fast they respond.

I haven't tried the schedule for the chlorinator. It just runs when the pump is running. I can test that and see if it works. As you noted, the heater now turns on and off per it's schedule. It used to just sit in a run state as long as the pump was running.

Another issue I've noted - R3.2 shows the salt level at 400 higher than R3.1 did. I'm going to get a salt test kit now to validate what the real number is.

I have noticed that my salt level is running higher now and have verified that it is incorrect with my handheld meter. I am wondering if I should delete and readd my chlorinator to see if the scheduling begins to work as expected and to "reset" the salinity.

I just deleted and readded the chlorinator but it’s still reading high on the instant salt. I tried the schedule on the chlorinator again and it works but it does not update the app or web interface. From the control panel you can see the chlorinator enabled when the schedule calls for it and it is chlorinating, but as far as the app and web interface is concerned it is off. Very weird.
How do you report an issue?

Hi - With this update, the WiFi Bridge (or similar) setting is not showing anywhere in the Control Panel under any setting. Anyone know where to find this so we can change the WiFi network we are using? Thanks.

Anyone experiencing an issue after the latest firmware update where the heater, some actuators not working. Also, seems my MPP isn't showing up anymore. I did a firmware update on the MSP, MPP and the wired Wallmount. All showed successful. Now, seems there are issues. I tried uploading my backed up file, still no success. I will obviously call into Hayward, but i thought maybe someone went thru this issue already and had a remedy. thank you.

I had to delete all my schedules, restart everything, then re-enter schedules. Once I did this, everything worked fine. I don't have any actuators.

My heater is now set to run at 88 from 9am - 12pm each morning, and it works as expected.

It sounds like your MPP is having issues. Possibly corrupted firmware. Let us know what Hayward says.

The firmware release notes say you can "control Pentair Intelliflo VS pumps with Pump Converter accessory board (HLPMPCONV)". Where can I purchase the accessory board HLPMPCONV? I have been searching for it on Google and cannot find it anywhere.
Just in case anyone else finds this thread and has the same question I asked above, I called Hayward and they told me the product is still in testing and will be available next month (May 2020).

I will try deleting my schedules and see what happens. But I cant even turn on heater. It appears on, but nothing happens.
How did you fix this? I'm having the same issue. I went to update my MPP first then it loss access Reason:MSP_DEV_COMM_LOSS,Comm Loss Device:014706fde3 HUA:MP and now it's missing I have tried everything to get it back. I even factory reset the stupid thing. I'm at a total loss. This system as been really a pain...

Did you also update your MSP? The two work together, and you can't have different versions. The MSP should always be upgraded first, then any additional components upgraded after.

You should be able to reflash your firmware on the MPP to the older version (whatever you had before the upgrade). Hopefully, you followed the first step in upgrading and backed up the old version - otherwise you'll need to find the file online that matches whatever you had.

If you did backup the contents, you should be able to go the right of the dashboard, locate and tap the “config” icon. Select the “restore config” option (fourth down on the left most column). Select where the file is stored, in this case “Restore from USB”. Select the desired file to restore.

Once it's back up and running, you can then update the MSP 1st, and the MPP 2nd. By doing the MPP 1st, you may have to reconfig your devices - I'm not sure as I've never tried to do it this way.

Group,
I still have the name and email of the Hayward lead service tech for my area... Anyways, it was nice he emailed me back over the weekend. The issue was the ver. of the MP and MSP was mismatched would have thought they would have been on the same ver. anyways, the error removed the MP from the system and all you need to do is update your MSP to the ver you want and then click "recovery" and upload the MP firmware and it will reconnect the MP to the system. I was fine since I took a backup of my config. So if ever have this issue use the recovery option.
Wanted to give everyone a update.
