I'm finally making the hyperspace leap from my Jandy RayVac pressure side cleaner to a robot!
I've had a chat with Margaret at Marina Pools. I also know several of you have just purchased
the Pentair Warrior SE and would like to know if you are happy with it. Pros and cons etc.

Both the Pentair and the Dolphin are available with a very slight price difference. Any input
on one over the other is appreciated. I am aware they are virtually the same. Just rebranded
I believe? Is the caddy worth it? Any other accessories that you recommend?

Thanks and hope everyone is safe and healthy!

L,

I have bought two S200's from Margaret and they have been working just fine.. At the time they were $700 bucks each.. I have never used the warrior, but I would probably go with another S200, even though there is no logical reason to do so..

I have no use for a caddy, but many here really love theirs.. The key is how you plan to use yours... I only use my robot about once or twice a week, except when the stuff is falling off the trees. I have the power supply mounted off the ground and under the house eave. The robot sits on a couple of small 4 x 4 blocks, also under the eave of the roof. If you plan to move your robot, in and out of say your garage, then a caddy would come in handy..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Not to hijack your thread, but I just got bbn off the phone with Margaret about 20 minutes ago! I was also looking at the s200 but then she told me about the ccx warrior se for $20 less with a $50 rebate. So $649 for pentair or 719 for s200. She asked if I wanted a remote control or caddy and when I asked if that's something that can be added later she told me yes to the caddy (@$150) and no to the remote because it wouldn't be wired for it. But I could go with the newer warrior SI for $749 that has bluetooth with remote. There's also a rebate for that one on the pentair site. Not many people on here have the SI so I was up in the air but now that I just write it all down I'm thinking that's the way to go!

Thanks Jim. I will probably be moving it in and out of the garage as I don't have a protected area
outside. My pool is on the south side of the house and we both know what Texas sun is like! Good
info and very much appreciated. I know you are a big fan of the S200 and after reading some of
your posts over the past year it got me thinking seriously about moving to a robot.

KaiBee, that is good info as well. I knew about the rebate and it may be what moves me towards
the Warrior SE. I like the idea of the caddy but don't need a remote, so could save a few $ there.
Thanks for sharing and no prob jumping in on the thread. Gonna think a bit and then call Margaret
in the next few days most likely! Good luck with your decision too.

Also wanted to say I went from a pressure side Polaris to the robot and it’s day and night better. I honestly leave mine in the pool and only take it out to empty. I like the better filters also, they catch a lot of fine junk

I am very impressed with my new Aquabot X4. In few session in cleaned my 28,000 gallons pool amazingly well. It is my first robot so hard to compare but the result is beyond my expectations.

These types of buyer feedback comments give me pause.

This is a simple fact: I am impressed by the result of my robot. What have me a pause is how the pool shop lied to me about the nautilus they are selling by giving me wrong information in order for me to buy the more expensive model. This gave me to pause and to decide to look in a different direction than nautilus.

I will find for any product on Amazon negative and positive feedback. But for now, I am impressed and please with my robot ;-)

Its always amazed me how expensive pool stores are for stuff like pool cleaners. When I bought my last Polaris 360 I can't remember the numbers but online was around $450 and "chain pool store" was around $700..For the EXACT same cleaner!
I get markup and will pay a little more for local service but it was crazy..I found the same issue when I bought my Hayward filter and heater.

I am also considering the Warrior SI vs the Warrior SE from Marina Pool and Spa. I think the only difference is a Bluetooth remote and a "Quick Clean" option on the SI which runs $50 more than the SE. Anyone used these remotes or have a non-remote version and wish you had a remote? I've never owned a cleaner before so not sure how I will be using it. Is this something I will drop in the pool once a week and turn on manually, or something you leave in and a remote would be handy to start it up?

I don't see a need. If I want to run it again you just hit power on the power supply. But I am not into automation..My neighbor asked me yesterday why I am working on my pool all the time..Told him It's not broke It's my new hobby
