Well I havent been very pleased with them to be honest, PM has been almost non-existent and we have just been ignored on previous issues. I get 0 responses from emails that I sent to the scheduler, maybe only once out of 7+ emails... I am trying for them to give me some response on this issue and it seems like they just want to ignore it...
Keep on them. That’s one of the main reasons I didn’t hire them. At first they answered emails and calls instant. Then I asked when I actually sign how often will I see the project manager. They said 3 times. I said I’m out. I wanted someone there all the time. No way I was trusting random subs without someone watching them.
MAke them fix it! Only take money if it’s the amount needed for you to have someone fix it. Period. That could have been avoided very easily.

Yes we did! Lol it wasn’t that hard to be honest, it was a 2 hour job and almost 5 yards of concrete.That is coming out great! Y'all did that?? Your poor bodies!!

The builder came and measured everything, they acknowledged that the pool elevation was screwed up by either the forms set by excavation crew or the gunite. The tile & coping guy used 3/4” of mortar on the farthest side of the pool and 1-3/4” of mortar closest to our patio meaning that gunite was not at same height all across.
Project manager was meeting on this issue with their managers and he said we will get a response tomorrow. He mentioned that there are a couple of options such as ripping about 60-90 sq ft of our existing patio and work with that or removing coping, tile and cutting the beam. To me the second option sounds ridiculous since the coping is more expensive than our patio stone but who knows...
I just really hope they just dont ignore it because if they do i will probably seek legal advice and go from there. Elevation was really important to us and they knew this and agreed before building the pool. The project manager was absent during excavation and he should have been here to make sure these forms where set correctly.
I do not think they would go with cutting the beam down now that there is a concrete apron around the entire pool
. The other issue with cutting 2" out of the beam would be you run the risk of exposing the rebar which typically only has 3" +/- of gunite over it..I hope that 60-90 sq ft covers going all the way to the house. It does not sound like enough to me. You probably do not even have 2" of pitch from the house to the current edge of the existing patio. Be sure to get there exact plan along with the proposed pitches.
AND get it all in writing.............texts are okay but try for emails or even a hand written letter with signature on it!
Looks like builder will either provide the funds or fix the elevation issue with patio but we are now battling how far is needed. Since pool is 1.5” higher than our patio im requesting at least 6’ of our existing patio needs to be ripped and set with new stone.

Still waiting for plaster.... looks like i am not even going to use the pool this season, makes me sick... I am working with very incompetent people, they ignore my inquiries, A&S has been a nightmare.. im really done with this entire process

This sucks do they have any estimate of when they will plaster? We are coming to the end of the season many people have already winterized their pools in MD. Unless they do it in the next week or so you should wait until next year. It is good to run for at least 30 days before winterizing. My closing is scheduled for 2nd week of October to give the water a chance to fall below 60. Maybe talk to them to get on the schedule first thing next season around end of April beginning of May.
I have been trying to schedule plaster since a month now with no success so I really dont want to wait until spring for this because they are unreliable and I want to get rid of them already.. I also want the pool ready for my daughter's birthday on May 21st so I really need to plan for the worst and that would be plaster as soon as they can. At this point I dont care if I dont go into the pool this season anymore, would there be any risk in closing in November?

At least we were able to (after a long battle and lots of frustration) get them to fix the elevation issue. Basically they will rip a section of our existing patio and raise it so it slopes correctly and match the pool deck we are also waiting on that but it looks like it will happen on Monday.
