Hello I recently got a new pool pump, and the first time I ran it, it sounded normal. Now when It runs, it makes a rythimic noise. Any ideas? All of the filters are cleaned.

its a 25000gal pool. The filter is a hayward. The motor brand is doheny self priming pump.

Thanks. So, a single speed pump. Cartridge filter? Is the pump basket full of water? Is there any air in the returns?
Yes a single speed pump, yep a cartridge filter, pump basket is full of water but some bubbles are appearing. When releasing air from the filter i can feel some air coming out.

Check your pump basket gasket. Be sure it is clean, lubricated with pool lube, and securely tighten the lid. A suction side air leak can potentially make your pump sound like that.

Is the pump firmly attached to the pad? If there's any movement, this can cause a rhythmic drumming/droning noise.
