New build in Wylie TX

Steel is down and inspection passed. We added 50 more sq foot to the sun ledge side that they have to form and steel before the pour on Monday. Got my S300i and TF-100 test kit in too. I have to say opening that test kit, I feel a little overwhelmed. My fear is my color blindness is going to be my short fall. Did you decide to add the 50 sq ft after see it laid out? When will they do the work?

We got ya covered on the tests. What you will want to do is look for color changes for most of the tests. For the pH test you can do the test then take a pic of it and share it here and we will read it for you. After a while you may be able to read it yourself.

Watch the videos that can be found at the site you bought the kit from (link in my siggy below). Go ahead run a set of tests on your fill water (except the CYA test as that has to be added so your fill water will not have any yet).

Saw the lay out and agreed on it. Only after forms were in place did we start thinking we need another 4’. Wife causally said it looked small for a chair. I learned long ago to fixing is easier then years of dealing with it. PB is great and priced the change order at $500. (Which is more then fair, plus he reminded me we have some credit on a few things we changed here and there from the contract). They will frame it Monday before they pour.

Ok tested fill/tap water. The K-1000 I got CI .5-1 & PH 7.8

speed stir test (not sure when to use speed storer and when not) I got
FC .5
CC 1.5
CH 750 (? How blue is blue?)
TA 120
CYA I could not get the drop to go away.

Lets hope your CH is not that high to start with! What you are looking for is the change in color more that getting to a "true blue". It will flash to blueish then go back so what you need to look for is when it holds the change in color.

CYA-yeah you have to add CYA to the water as no fill water has it that I have ever heard of as of yet. Hold off on that test until you know you are or PB has added some.

We got concrete yesterday. Can’t wait to wash the release off and see the true color. Next week the crown jewel, the cedar patio cover. My “call if your in jail or a mud hole” friend owns the company, so it’s going to be over the top.

One older Hispanic man stayed after the rest of the crew left. On his knees all day with an 8” piece of rubber and a mallet pounding in those lines. When he was done I handed him a $100 bill. He grabbed me hand and said a prayer. I really felt honored having him do this job.

Cedar patio cove is just about done. The attention to detail is amazing.
