Cordless pool robot

I’m looking for a cordless robot for next season. My pool isn’t especially large but there are lots of trees nearby and my pool needs daily ‘hoovering’.

I’ve seen some adverts for a ‘Pool Blaster CX-1’ which looks fantastic but can’t find any impartial reviews.

I’d prefer cordless as I don’t have a mains outlet near the pool but if cordless is still immature and flaky, I could probably fit one.

any advice about the CX-1 or any other cordless robot would be much appreciated.

It seems that the cordless robots are a bit few and far between.

I’ve decided to buy a Dolphin M400 locally. It’s branded “Everblue" but still carries "Dolphin" and M400 somewhere. It also looks identical.

perhaps the next one I buy will cordless (thermonuclear)??

For what it's worth, I'm not buying a robot with a cord. For other reasons, too. When they come out with a cordless one, that comes with a little parking/charging garage, and can both enter and climb out of the pool on its own, from and to its garage, then I'm all in. I'm not actually joking. The tech exists, it's just a matter of someone putting it all together.

I'm guessing I'll have a long wait... :(
 
Hmmm, I forgot. I already have such a device: cordless, self charging, can park itself, gets in and out of pool, cleans pool, doses all chemicals, even reports, facilitates and executes light repairs. It's called a Dirk!! Coming soon to a pool near you! ;)

this is really old but when i was shopping for a dolphin from mytronic they had this version. but when i talked wit hthe rep he said that was old and should not have been on their site.

Maytronics made one years ago, which is basically the M5 Liberty, which now has improvements, the original one used Ni-MH batteries and the latest uses Li-Ion, it was expensive back then and is still expensive today, at least over $2K+ and I'm not sure it's available in the US Market anymore, it's not on Dolphin's US site.

Not really "cordless" as it does use that floating buoy with the batteries in it.

The Watertech CX-1 Pool Blaster Robot has Li-Ion batteries, battery technology is there.

There is also a cordless commerical cleaner from Italy called "NemH20", bascially is a Roomba for your pool, even has a charger dock, but it's ultra $$$.

Pool Care market is a little behind the times compared to other markets, but that's changing albeit slowly.
 
Well, that NEMH2O is pretty darn close to what I was waiting for. Still think it needs to come out of the water. It's pretty big to live in a small pool. I watched the video. You can see the guy struggling with it, it must weigh a ton with those batteries. It doesn't vacuum up fine particles though. I don't like that. I think it just circulates them.

Couldn't find a price. That's not good. What? 2K? 3K?

Problem, many want it and many don't, that is the island, dock or something hanging off of their pool deck for the robot.

There are three models, they start at around $3K+ with options and go up from there.

It's not much bigger than a typical Robot, but weighs a lot more, around 46 pounds.

Search - nemh20

Maybe not totally commercial but commerical priced.
 
Ouch, yah I was way off, price wise. Maybe the tech will eventually filter down to residential, and residential prices...
