Matt thanks for taking the pressure off...

I was going to mention the wrath of my wife as a primary reason for not getting one (but I so want one)! Im still the big dog and in charge at this Hacienda as I was able to sneak this (on sale at Costco) in the garage without the spy noticing.

My wife and I have always had joint accounts and debit cards (all income is “our” income, none of this separate finance stuff). And the dear wife is the family accountant as well. Technology enables one to get notifications when money is spent down to the nearest penny....and the wife takes full advantage of the technology. So, like the ever-gazing Eye of Mordor, not a single penny slips through her radar. And, as such, all purchases on my part will eventually get caught My kids have even thrown me under the bus sometimes to get out of trouble - “I know I didn’t clean up my toys but mom(!!) Did you see what dad bought today?!?!? It’s in the garage...”

The upside is, our arrangement forces us to talk about every purchase and so there’s never any arguments .... how can there be when she is always right

Weather gets weird during monsoon season in Tucson. Thunder clouds and rain typically start up right around BBQ time and since my setup is not covered, my BBQ’ing gets interrupted.

Weather looks HOT but clear. So I’m probably going to grind up some beef and make some steak burgers later.
