2018: Fiberglass install uxbridge ointario

Our pool looses so much water when the boys swim (doesn’t seem to loose much if any at other times). I guess being so small the water has nowhere to go but out the overflow. Going to buy an end cap for the overflow so I can bung it up when they’re in the pool. It is not noticeable when they get out but the over overflow is running constantly into the pit while they’re in the pool.

I see someone running a pipe to your pool area so you can just turn the handle and the water goes right in the pool. Closing the overflow when the boys are in the pool will help a lot. Your buying list just gets longer and longer LOL

She just needs to T into one of her returns and connect to a water source. may need a backflow preventer to meet code.

Not sure how accessing the returns would go. Lots of nice paving on top of them. Might rig up something to save going out and around to the tap or just send one of the boys to do it. I think the end cap for the overflow pipe will eliminate most of the water loss. I can just pop it on when I take the cover off for them to swim and take it off when I put the cover back on afterwards. I am done with any more work/modifications... well after I lay the turf that I decided to buy to put an end to the mud.

Another neighbour complaint yesterday. I am sure it is the same person that called the first time. They called the city to say the boulevard is still "dug up". In fact, there is a 10' x 12' section that I have graded and will be doing sod within 2 weeks. People need to get a hobby or something. I have worked 260 hours in the last 4 weeks. Things around home are going slow.

Chris, you and I both know it IS the same person............gurrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Go have the girls put up a sign that says "Grass sod going here!" right in the middle of that area. OH and have them add "help accepted to pay for and install said grass sod!" LOL

Well the plan was to do all the sod at the same time. Backyard and boulevard. I will be ready for that in 2 weeks hopefully. I'm 90% sure it's an old retired guy who lives 3 doors down. His entire life is going to the mailbox hourly in the morning until the mail man gets there. He needs to take up golf or something.

Finished the stairs today despite rain all weekend. 39 led lights in the risers. little tiny things that mount in a 7/8" hole and do an amazing job at lighting the stairs.

The pool deck drains towards the wood deck. If you can see the white spacers under the stairs, they are to prevent rotting and allow rain runoff to drain freely into weeping tile (weeping tile is under stairs)
Next is my 60 linear feet of bench seating on top of retaining walls. Sprinklers, sod and a bunch of river rock.

CHRIS!!! Hold on a min........have to go back and look again.............DUDE you have SKILLS!!! More to come but man that looks SO good! You KNOW I want to see it at night!!

Kim:kim: (going to fly Chris down to work on my deck!!)

Chris... Quoting Red Green just isn't right when your pics don't have ANY duct tape in them! LOL

Seriously though, nice set-up.

And I Live by the motto... "If the ladies don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy"

I'm back..........you know what comes now............questions LOL

Where does the water from the weeping tile work go?

How did you put those tiny lights in? Before you put the board they are in on? How are they wired? Are they all in a string line?

Can't wait for my night pic!

Kim:kim:

Water collected in weeping system dumps out behind my retaining wall and down a hill.

Lights are wired in series but not like your old Christmas lights when one goes out they all do. lol. They come 10 in a pack with a transformer. you install in facia or risers then connect wires and put deck board back on. I have 4 sets with 4 transformers. You could put more than 10 on one transformer but I read that you get a diminishing life span.
