Hi all, what chemical is everyone using to clean their vinyl auto cover? I'm in the process of re-opening for the season and my cover is pretty nasty. Will Dawn or similar be fine or is there a special cleaner? Thanks!

That’s what I use, with a scrub brush. Then I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on the whole cover.
question on the 303 protectant... how are you applying it? mine is in need of cleaning as well.

I’ll type out the note I specifically wrote after doing it last year.
“Washed and protected autocover for the 2nd time. Washed with dish soap and garage broom. Applied Aerospace 303 by hand with an orange chamois. Did edges first from coping. Need to open cover 2’ to keep water from splashing on cover from steps. Consider better way to apply 303.”
I recall it being a workout. I’m thinking maybe a soft brush like used to clean an RV on a pole would spread the 303 well. Pour, brush/spread, repeat.
