Tanks so much Suz...PB says we will be swimming on the 4th...yea! I'm still up in the air about the tile choice and hoping that when we get water in the pool it will give us the look we are after? I also added two GFCI outlets on the parameter of the decking that will come in handy down the road. So many things were done because of the advice and from reading on TFP. So happy to have all of you help to guide me...

I love your tile, and you're right, the brown on that wall looks great! It all goes so well with the brick on your house and surroundings. I have only seen a few pools with dark brown tile. Just wait til your water is in... There's something about the contrast between the dark brown and the blue water - I love it!

Others will have to comment on your equipment pad, but I know you're glad to have it set up. Good call on the floods over the equipment. I have only needed to check something a couple of times after dark, but I was sure glad to have those lights there.

You are getting soooo close!! What does your PB say - 4th of July pool party??

A little concerned with my choice of tile...don't be shy...if its a bad mix my feelings won't be hurt :)

You're a brave one, Cliff! Asking for an opinion on your choices AFTER it's already installed!!! I could have sworn your tile was brown when I saw it on my phone. Nope! It's beautiful mix of grays and beige's. I must have zeroed in on the few brown stones on the wall above. I don't see how you could have done a better job putting together the tile, coping, and stonework on the wall. It looks fabulous!!!

What is worrying you about the look? And what color pool finish are you going with? I don't see it in your signature (hint hint).
 
The water is aquabright Mediterranean from a picture bdavis posted on AmyJo's build thread. You said several pages back you might go with aquabright.

What do you think? Don't you see how beautifully everything goes together?!! It looks better on my cell phone. A little cheesy on my computer. (but I tried, right?!)

 
All of your second guessing and concerns over details will disappear when you put some water in the pool, get an adult beverage and spend a few hours floating around the pool and/or watch your kids playing and having a good time. Or both.

It looks fine to me. I'd bet at least 3 bucks that you won't hate it.

SUZ scores again! That is purrfect! With the water in it it all ties in together and looks awesome!

I was talking about the waterline tile BUT with the water you put in Suz I like it now!!!

Yep Suz rocks! So do you Kim and I appreciate the straight opinions. For some reason it just did not fit my eye...

Wow! Almost done!!! Your stone and tile choices, while not what I would choose for me, are really beautiful together and very unique. They go perfectly with your surroundings and I think you did an outstanding job.

Cliff, I wanted to share a link with you. You will see what they did to start up their plaster. It is not the fastest way to do it BUT it is the best way in the long term for the plaster.

Getting ready for O/B Bicarbonate Startup

With you going with a darker plaster (I LOVE the plaster you picked) the skills of the installers are going to really come into play. I don't want to worry you but to make you aware so you can be prepared and knowledgeable about what is what.

You'll see 'onBalance' as the author of the posts. Since you haven't been on TFP for that long, you may not be familiar with his (or their) reputation. I thought you might want to know a little more about 'just who is this guy'! Here's a link I found when I first read his posts a couple of years ago. Very interesting.

AmyJo I appreciate that! I certainly pushed the envelope because we didn't want blue or blingy tile. Don't get me wrong those are great choices and I was trying to keep the open country feel. Once we get water and some landscaping all will be well...

Thanks Kim I will give this a good read. I have had a few long conversations with PB on the dark plaster look and lucky for me he has a crew that do really well with the product according to PB. PB has been very straight forward thus far and he always listens when I bring up things from TFP. I will keep you posted...
