New owner-builder (kinda) in Arizona

The pool is almost full. I have about 8" of water left to go.
I was told it was safe to add a small amount of liquid chlorine (stirred up with wall brush) to the pool without the pump running.
I added 1qt of 10% liquid chlorine to the pool and brushed the sides & bottom to stir it up. I thought getting a little chlorine in there would be good, because the start up guy isn't coming until Friday.

Here are my numbers:
FC 2
CC 0
PH 7.8
TA 90
CH 120
I haven't added CYA yet

Should I add another qt of liquid chlorine tomorrow? Anything else I can do to keep the pool good until Friday?
I just checked the temp & it's a brisk 92 degrees.

Add 30 ppm CYA as soon as you can, and yep, around a quart per day of chlorine sounds about right. Without CYA the chlorine will burn off in sunshine in a couple of hours.

Your pool is shaping up beautifully!!!

Post a picture of your equipment pad/valves and we can walk you through setting the valves manually and getting the pump running. You will want to wait until the water is up to mid skimmer. It looks like you have an IntelliFlo VS pump?

Thank you so much!

The pool is full now.

The float for the auto leveler hasn't been installed, not really sure if that should be installed before the pump runs? Also, the plug has been removed from the skimmer, but not sure what else should go in there, besides the basket?

Here is what the equipment looks like. Yes it's a intelliflo VS pump.

There are some other skimmer parts I found. I'm not sure what I need to install here. There is a float valve assembly w/ oring, & a check valve assembly. The instructions show the check valve (seems like there has to be an equalizer line for this option, & I don't see that) or the float valve installed, & both say to use with at least 2 main drains. I only have 1 360 drain that's 20". I'm not sure what to do here...
