New build in Vegas

You have some great patio space. You must be close to plaster at this point. Who is converting your yard gate to a pool compliant gate? I am considering a DIY but dont want a small mistake to hold up an inspection.

SPL,

We had to sacrifice some turf space to make as much patio as we did but I'm happy with it so far. From where I took the picture we are adding a 12x20 patio cover and a BBQ island where the gas and electrical stub out. Clean up from the paver crew is tomorrow and the patio cover is scheduled for Friday. Hoping for plaster late next week! I wish I could tell you who is handling the gate but I hired one of the subs to manage the build. He has scheduled and hired everyone else.

Does anyone out there have advice on whether to put an enhancer on the travertine or not. I'm undecided.

I'm so jealous of your coping lol. It has great contrast and after looking at where they demo your old patio I'm glad you talked me into breaking my spare piggy bank so I could do mine as well

-enhancer-is this something you want to redo every year? I DO like how they look wet but the downside is having to redo it when needed.

That looks awesome! YES on doing the patio as well. It really ties it all together!

Would you mind taking a picture of the latch and self-closing mechanism when the gate gets instaled? I got a quote today for $550 for a new gate.

I cant help on the enhancer questions. We are installing similar travertine (Medium Ivory) and know we need to make some sort of decision also. We havent figured that part out yet so will be following to see if anyone chimes in. BTW, you wife did a nice job matching the colors. Great to see a plan come together.

As soon as the gate is installed I'll take the pictures. So we have decided not to enhance the travertine for a month or so and see how it goes. I took a few pieces of the scraps and I think I'll enhance those and see if it makes any difference as far as heat. The heat of the decking has been one of our serious concerns because of the kids. ( OK I have sensitive feet)
