New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

I just purchased the EVO 614 and have been trying to decide if I need a caddy. I like your solution!

    iAqualink Setup for EVO614

I figured it out! My system does have tracks, for which there was only one option. Already in the pool, it looked like there were just wheels, which was offering me a choice. I have it setup now.

    iAqualink Setup for EVO614

I bit the bullet and purchased the EVO 614 iq from Marina Pool and Spa. Came today. It's in the water right now cleaning. I am attempting to setup the iAqualink app and I've reached a decision point I don't know how to answer. Tried calling support and 35 minutes later I am still on hold...

    So Many Choices!

ARRRGGGGHHHHHH! We currently own a Hayward Aquanaut 400/450 pool cleaner going on it's seventh season. The cleaner travels only about four feet before turning around, so it no longer cleans the entire pool. I think the problem is probably that the wheel hubs and shaft bearings need to be...

    Hayward Omnilogic App "no sites"

It’s back working again today. Guessing Hayward must have fixed whatever was broken! I’m just glad to have the control back on my phone!

    Hayward Omnilogic App "no sites"

I have searched and can't seem to find this error described anywhere. After six years of working just fine, the Omnilogic app on my phone no longer sees my pool site. When I open the app, I get an error message No Sites It looks like you haven't linked your account to a site. So I try to add...

    Hayward OmniLogic Controller Firmware update

Sorry for the late reply and info...turns out the reason I didn't see the update was because my pool repair guy, who did the previous upgrade, left a USB drive in the slot. So when it looked for an upgrade, it was looking at the USB drive, not the Internet. I removed the USB and then the...

    Hayward OmniLogic Controller Firmware update

I recently noticed a message on my OmniLogic control app telling me that I need to apply a critical over the air update. This would be the first I have ever done, as all the others have been handled by my equipment technician when he was already out doing something else. I backed up the system...

Need some help with new SWG setup

We took the plunge and converted to a SWG a month or so ago. My CYA had been fairly low (it always go down during the winter months, maybe lots of rain or something?) but I just got some stabilizer and I've gotten it up to 60. I am still in the process of raising and will shoot for 80 given...

Suction Side Air Leak - I give up

The leak was somewhere between the pump and the ozonator. Replaced the flowmeter and the hose and that fixed the problem.

Suction Side Air Leak - I give up

Thanks everyone for the things to check. I called a pool professional and he found the source of the leak and fixed it. A plumber, I am not.

    Hayward Low Salt System

I have been dumping jugs of liquid chlorine into my pool for about 3 years now. I was warned away from a SWCG system by my poolbuilder, who said it would damage my moss rock waterfall. While talking with a pool service company about a different issue, I brought up the SWCG question to him, and...

Suction Side Air Leak - I give up

From reading other posts, I think have a suction side air leak. I have many many bubbles in the pool coming through the return jets, and a small whirlpool in the pump basket. I have lubed the pump basket O-ring and the plugs at the bottom of the pump. The water level in the pool is good. I...

    HASA Bleach?

Heard a podcast tonight with the CEO of HASA. He talked extensively about their support of pool professionals and a bit about the advantages of using liquid chlorine. :) Anyway, he didn't say anything at all about HASA selling to the retail customer...just that HASA supported the pool...

    Noobie

We built our pool in 2018, and we were first timers also. I wish I had discovered this website prior to contracting. We might have made some different choices. There is a wealth of info here...I could easily spend hours daily reading through the forums!

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

So I just came back from Home Depot in Richmond/Katy area and I'm both happy and seriously annoyed. HDX 3 pack of 10% LC is now $12.98, with no discount for purchasing quantity 4. They have raised the price by 45%! On a good note, the chlorine was fresh fresh fresh! Date was 323, so bottled...

    Liquid Chlorine from Pinch-a-Penny

I am having a difficult time getting liquid chlorine in Houston this summer. I am guessing supply chain problems with COVID-19. Anyway, my go to source has always been Home Depot, which typically has plentiful amounts of very fresh, 10% LC. Except this summer. We have a newly opened...

    Cloudy water?

Agreed! I generally lose 4.5 to 5 ppm per day in the heat of the Summer. I use the Pool Math app and aim to keep my lowest FC at least 1-2 ppm above the minimum....which means the app yells at me every day when I tell it I want to dose above the recommended maximum!

    Cloudy water?

Ok. Passed the OCLT test. Water looks much clearer today. I’m guessing I need to run the pump constantly when we have these days long stretches of rain that wash a bunch of debris into the pool!

    Cloudy water?

Help! A few weeks ago I slammed my pool because I was seeing a little bit of algae. Slam went fine, got through OCLT, CC at zero and pool was crystal clear and beautiful. Since then, I've maintained my CYA at 60 and then 50. Since completing my slam, I haven't let my FC fall below 5ppm...

    What is your daily dosage?

Depending on how sunny it is, I average 3-5 quarts of 10% a day during late June through mid August. My pool gets a LOT of sun. My CYA is 50, and I try to never let FC go below 5ppm.

    SLAM questions

Thanks for the info! I have been watching the pool and adjusting chlorine every 2-4 hours (I had to leave for an appointment...thus the four hour gap). I noticed that I am burning chlorine like crazy...way more than before I started the SLAM process yesterday. Over the past few days, I have...
