Yellow on adapters on skimmer and return.

Closing my pool. Just took off the hosing, and my return and skimmer box adapters have a bright yellow stain on them. The pump / filter / heater adapters are not stained like this. Any idea what this is?

Rub a paste of Vitamin C on the yellow areas. If it lifts it is iron stains.

Buy a jar of Vitamin C, crush it up, add some water, put it in a sock, rub it on the surfaces.

Or since its not in the pool you can try a little bar keepers friend on it if you happen to have some & don’t have any vitamin c pills
Its chemical reaction that occurs when removing iron stains so you don’t really need to scrub. Just let it sit several minutes.

If it doesn’t change & you don’t have stains anywhere else the water touches it may just be from whatever hose you had on there.
