It’s their normal season gouge. Decking went up too along with most building materials. And they specifically aren’t having any spring sales this year ‘ to cut down on traffic in the store’. **Wink wink cough cough**. But everybody is home with extra time to spruce up the house so HD is PACKED everyday. And they are charging each and every one of them full/over price.

I don’t think it’s a seasonal thing at least not in Houston. I bought bleach here all summer last year and it stayed the same: 10 bucks for 3 bottles. Also the bottles are thin clear milk jugs now, not white bottles. I would guess it has something to do with the pandemic and supply chain. Thankfully
I just needed a few cases for SLAMimg.

I was pleased to hear that not only did they have it in stock, but it was the same price as last year, $140+tax --delivered to me!

Everything has gone up because people are buying like crazy. I used to work at a company that make food packaging ( plastic freezer type bags ) and they are doing great! Getting great bonuses
