Will this union to the filter work

I am having a heck of a time with our new pool. I am currently standing i lowes holding back tears because stuff keeps happening. Our new pump had bad bearings, so i got another pump, but it doesn’t fit into the filter. I come to Lowe’s and by some streak of luck, there’s a plumbing specialist in the aisle. This is what we came up with. Is this ok to connect to the filter this way? Any advise would be most appreciated!

If those are the right threads it would attach. But the pump and filter may not have the ports at the same height.

I would use as few threaded fittings as you can and use the primer and solvent on as much as possible.

The section connected to the pump there looks fine. Does the threaded section on the other end screw directly into the filter? I haven't seen those threaded adapters before - be sure they are Sch 40.

The fittings look like dwv, which are not pressure rated.

The male adapters are DWV, the rest is schedule 40. We got it all hooked up and glued and it is working fine. I hope it will hold out, I’ll switch it once we get the parts that were made for it, online.

not sure I would call him a "plumbing specialist" by using DMV fittings on the outlet of a pump, maybe that's all they had to get you by, but a slip x slip union instead of threaded would be better and get rid of two fittings.
