White stain under water fall

My pool was opened today and I am reminded that it was closed down with an unsightly white stain under the waterfall:

Does anyone have a good procedure to clean this?

I am a new pool owner (old pool, new to me). The tiles are all covered in white scaled and I decided to take a pumice stone to some today. It cleans off quite easily but it went through my cheap $3 pumice stone very quickly. Does anyone have any recommendations for pumice stone brands,etc...

You may be able to use the purple scotch brite pads on the coping. Try it out in an inconspicuous area though to make sure it doesn’t scratch. If you have a cordless orbital sander you can place it on the pad and the scale comes right off.
